A blend of the excellent 2013 and ‘14 vintages, this is 100% Chardonnay grown on the slopes of the Simonsberg. Entirely aged in third fill French oak demi-muids, then aged in the bottle for a year prior to release. It has a nose of proving sour dough with a fine bead on the palate that releases notes of fresh almonds, warm sand and apricot kerne.

Are you a Champagne lover?
This is a great alternative as Filigree is made “méthode cap classique” which is the South African term for the same way Champagne is made (secondary fermentation takes place inside the bottle).
